Research & Fix renovate

Scope change: We know renovate is hooked up to this repo but currently it's not picking up the newest IB image. We need to find out why and fix it.

It looks like Renovate support was already added back in 2021, with this MR. Usage of Renovate documented here.

Question is, if Renovate is working already, why is there not an open Renovate issue to update from 8.0.3 to 8.4.0? May be because Big Bang uses N-1 versioned images from Iron Bank, and 8.4.0 is latest, but will confirm.

Well done. We can go ahead and close this out. There are new cases to track stuff down.
