SPIKE: Research pass-through pattern

• Research changes made within our repos that are different than the upstream charts. Any changes made to non-bigbang templates/ and values.yaml. List your findings
• Research pass-through pattern using mimir as an example. List all changes needed to be made to this package.
• Create a follow up issue to modify this package to use pass-through pattern. (kind: feature, team: strorage+Collab, pri:5, weight: 2-4)
