Fix nexus http calls

Motivation

Nexus is tested in the context of Big Bang with curl reaching out to various nexus endpoints. Depending on the context of these calls, the http calls can fail.

Acceptance Criteria

• Nexus tests pass both in its own package pipeline but also in a BB umbrella pipeline.
