We are adding automation from our build pipelines to create these MRs automatically. We will be switching from pulling binaries from releases.hashicorp.com instead of using renovate to update from docker images. This is the same image as what is in hashicorp/boundary/boundary but we are moving to tracking multiple LTS versions so it's not just one which is why we are in a subrepo. Eventually hashicorp/boundary/boundary will be removed.
