Add UBI repo to Satellite

As a member of container hardening team, I need to ensure that the base image meets all patching requirements and is capable of installing all necessary packages. To that end, the base image needs access to a YUM repository during an offline build.

Perform the following:

  • Add the UBI7 repositories to the Satellite server
  • Create a one-line command to replace the repository URL's in the ubi.repo file to use Satellite server

Definition of Done:

  • All steps above have been completed
  • Verify that Satellite server is properly hosting UBI7 repository
  • Verify that UBI7 base image can build while utilizing the new local Satellite server as a repository
To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
