# Department of Defense Form 2875: System Authorization Access Request (SAAR)

## Who Should Follow This Process

Anyone who requires access to the Platform One IL2 or IL4 environment but does not possess a Common Access Card (CAC) or External Certification Authority (ECA) with DOD PKI.

**For IL4 access, user must be in process to receiving a CAC. Please specify this on the 2875.**

## The Process

1. Download the DD 2875 System Access Authorization Request (SAAR) [here](https://repo1.dso.mil/razor-crest-public/2875s/-/blob/master/DD2875_LAST_FIRST.pdf) or [on this external site](https://www.esd.whs.mil/Portals/54/Documents/DD/forms/dd/dd2875.pdf)
1. Fill out the 2875 using Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat **(Fill out all fields through 20b. If any fields are blank, this form will be returned)**
1. Complete the Cyber Awareness Challenge [here](https://public.cyber.mil/training/cyber-awareness-challenge/)
1. Sign up for a P1 SSO account using your official/company email address [here](https://sso-info.il2.dso.mil/)
1. Submit the completed 2875 and Cyber Awareness certificate via email to help@dsop.io from your registered email address or via the Customer Portal [here](https://jira.il2.dso.mil/servicedesk/customer/portal/1)

    **Please only submit one 2875 and certificate per one request/ticket/email.**

## DD 2875 Guidance _(fields commonly filled out incorrectly)_

- **Type of Request:** "Initial"
- **Date:** Today's date
- **System Name:** "Platform One Impact Level 2 Environment" or "Platform One Impact Level 4 Environment"
- **Location:** "Platform One"
- **Box 2:** Your organization/company you work for. Note: This is not the contract you work on.
- **Box 3:** Your office/department/team/unit/etc at your organization
- **Box 5:** Your P1 SSO registered official/company email address (no personal email addresses)
- **Box 10:** Need to check the box and include the completion date from your [Cyber Awareness Challenge](https://public.cyber.mil/training/cyber-awareness-challenge/) certificate
- **Box 13:** Why you need access. If requesting IL4, also include "I have a CAC application in progress" if this is true
- **Box 14:** "Authorized"
- **Box 15:** "Unclassified"
- **Box 16:** Check the box
- **Box 16a:** If you are a contractor, you need to include your company's name, contract number, and expiration date (can use Block 27 if needed. If you need to use Block 27, type "See Block 27")
- **Boxes 17-20b:** Filled out by the DoD Mission Owner/Sponsor (Military or Government Civilian only)
- **Box 18:** Needs to be digitally signed with a CAC by the DOD Mission Owner/Sponsor (Military or Government Civilian **only**. Contractors **cannot** sign this)

## For IL4 Requests only

- Your security manager MUST fill out PART III on the 2875.
- Remember to indicate that you have a CAC application in progress, if true, on the Justification portion
