There have been some discussions. The question I have now is whether or not there will be a BigBang in-cluster Redis on the roadmap.

statement moving forward will be:

"bigbang needs to own and be comfortable with deploying redis for applications that need it, bigbang will not deploy or manage a central multitenant redis until it is requested/needed"

this means that:

• bigbang will be expected to own our own redis chart/deployment
• charts that already have a working/supported/maintained redis implemented as a helm dependency will not be modified outside of IB image replacement (such as gitlab)
• charts without working/maintained redis as a helm dependency will use bigbang's redis helm chart (such as redis and authservice)
