Proposal to Migrate to Nexus Repository Manager HA Chart

Summary

A request has been made to migrate the internally maintained Nexus chart (which is deprecated upstream) to the Nexus Repository Manager HA Chart to enable scalability via multiple replicas in a StatefulSet.

Concerns & Considerations

• The HA chart requires a Pro license; need to confirm if it supports a single replica for OSS.
• The requesting customer (Unified Platform) has a Nexus license.
• The OSS version and Enterprise version appear to use the same image, so a single replica may default to OSS.
• A spike should be conducted to determine feasibility.

• Proceed with a spike to assess compatibility.
• Create a BBTOC issue and an MR to update the Nexus project.
• Prioritize support for OSS but coordinate with leadership if testing requires a Pro license (a test license is available).
