Template update

I want to preface this as very much in a draft state. I had attempted to investigate ways that we could make the repository "executable" such as to include a Try it now section that could be a few simple commands - but kept coming up against the hard requirement for registry1 credentials. This would open template up to pipelines that could be tested and validate individual packages against the current main branch of big bang.

Most of this MR is pretty subjective in my opinion. I want to focus on the documentation and the current update for the values under package-strategy for informing users about this as a possible maintenance paradigm. Otherwise we can coalesce on other naming schemas and/or if we want to accept this as a 2.0 issue.
